Flustered

We go swimming a few times a week. Today at the pool I was talking on the phone with my dear friend Katie. Addy was being so good playing in the water on her own and having fun and just let me talk. Normally if I am on the phone she will pester me to get off and play with her.

On our way out I said Addy it's time to go. She runs to our stuff and throws the keys in the deepest part of the pool. I put the phone down, jump in, and dive after the keys. As I come out of the water Addy is laughing extremely hard and I hear a "plop." There goes the phone. I put the keys down and dive after the phone. I come up and Addy is laughing even harder. I tell her this is not funny and she needs to stop in a stern voice, but it was too late as I look for the keys they are already on the pool floor. I try to grab the keys with my toes so I can keep an eye on her, but it is too deep and somehow the phone is already in the pool again.

Finally a little boy maybe 5 or 6 years old came and said "I can dive that deep if you want me to." Obviously the phone was a lost cause at this point and I probably should have just left it in the pool. Addy laughed the whole way home and when I said "It is not funny you are in big trouble" Her response was "No no no" with a giggle at the end.

To top it off Caleb is at scout camp and doesn't have cell phone service unless he hikes a half of a mile to the top of a plateau. I only get one phone call a day between 6:30 and 7:00pm. Poor Caleb after his hike was wondering why I am so mean to not answer his calls after all the effort that goes into it. All due to Addy's little prank.

Addy Playing with the Hose

Last weekend we went to Tracey's (Caleb's Manager) house on the lake for a work party. We all had fun playing in the water going out on the boat and eating yummy food. Addy loved the slip n slide and the hose...

This face is priceless.

Ode to my Postum Drink.

I am so sad to say that they have discontinued my favorite drink of my entire life. Seriously not even kidding. I first remember drinking it back in 2nd grade. I remember making it for my friends because we had run out of hot chocolate and they spit it out. My college roommates all thought I was crazy because I had this drink almost every night. There are still a few bottles being sold on ebay for $45 and I heard that it peaked at $120. I only wish I had a years supply of food storage with postum in it. I will miss you postum cup. Thanks for keeping me warm on all those cold utah nights.

Warning...cheesy! Happy fathersday to all of you great fathers out there! I am so glad I have Caleb as a husband and father to Addy. You add so much to my life I wouldn't be the same without you. There are so many things I love about you and the list gets longer each day. I hope you had a wonderful weekend you truly deserve it.

We're Back!

We had so much fun in Utah, but it is good to be home with Cabe again. This is a mega post, but luckily it is mostly pictures. I took a lot of pictures it was hard to narrow it down...Here are a few. I thought the weather was going to be warm, but it was freezing. Addy had to wear the same outfit most of the time.

Addy having fun with her cousins.
This is my sister Bobbie Jo and her two kids Nate and Bailey at Ryan's Place park in Providence. I think this is the best park I have ever seen.

Caleb went fishing. I finally got to go golfing with Caleb. I got a new driver for my birthday last year and I think this was the second time I used it. Sad huh.
We got to meet Niki and Ryan's special someone.

Caleb's sister, Niki and Holland.

Caleb's brother, Ryan and Megan. This is at a yurt by beaver mountain. Caleb's mom, Sue.
And Dad, Rick at the Yurt.

These two twinners played so hard they wore eachother out.

There was only one day that was warm enough to be outside. The kids had fun on the slip n' slide. This picture is funny because both of them are sticking out their toungues.

Addy was brave and loved to go down the slide.

Addy loved my brother, Caleb's hat and was constantly trying to steal it. Addy kissing Missy through the trampoline. She loved the tramp wherever we went.

These pictures are from our visit to Salem to see Caleb's Grandma and Aunts.

Bailey's first Birthday party. This is a picture of all of Bailey's cousins that came to the party.
The bouncy palace was a big hit at the party.

My cute little sisters, Missy and Alesha at the Birthday party.
These are my horses. We got them when I was 13. My parents keep them on property they own close to Wellsville. It is so pretty out there right at the mountain base.

This is my little jockey. She is a natural.

We both missed Caleb a lot and were super excited to see him. Addy was really mad at him at first and almost cried with a big pouty lip, but she got over it quick.

It's been a while

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. I have started to read this book, and it has cut in on my blogging time.

So far I really like it, I am only half way done.

Here is what we have been up to lately. Addy has been playing at the pool....a lot. That pretty much sums it up. Here is Tayla and Addy getting ready to go to the pool. If anyone every wants to go don't hesitate to call me. We love to have friends at the pool. Here is a picture from Ashlyn's birthday party. I can't believe all of Addy's friends are starting to turn 2! It is such a fun age.
Here are the kiddos dancing with their party shakers.

Addy and Bella to busy for lunch at the party.
This is a picture of Caleb's scores on his video game "Trials" (Motorcycle racing) He took 15th place on one of the levels and was so proud he took a picture of it. (Dorky I know...trust me I know)
Addy still loves to go jogging in the morning and has learned to crawl up in the stroller and yell for me.

Lastly mothers day!

I am so thankful for mothers. I am grateful that I could be a mother and that it has changed my life completely. I wanted to thank Caleb for going all out and making the day so special.
I couldn't get Addy to take a good picture with me. She was completely wound up after nursery and becuase of our church schedule she doesn't nap on Sunday so it can get pretty wild.
I asked for Mango Salsa. Isn't it pretty? Food always tastes so much better when you don't have to make it yourself. That and Caleb is an excellent cook. Caleb made cafe rio salads. We don't have a Cafe rio in Texas so this is as close as it gets.
I am grateful for all the mother figures in my life and hope every mom got spoiled and had a wonderfully day!
