We're Home

We made it through Hurricane IKE with no damage. The eye of the storm went directly over where we live. As I go through town I have seen many roof tops with tarps over them and large piles of trees. I am grateful I was able to leave. We were without power for 5 days. However, plenty of neighbors are still without electricity including our church building. Last Sunday they held sacrament for 30 minutes with flashlights. I had a fun time in Utah. It was so fun to relax, visit, and see the beautiful fall weather. Here are some of the pictures.

Hurricane IKE

So Hurricane IKE made a turn for Houston today. This is just a note to let you all know we decided to evacuate. Caleb is already out of town on business, so he will just stay out of town. Addy and I are going to Utah at 8am tomorrow. I have been running around our apartment like a mad woman trying to get everything we need together.

Poor little Addy could tell I was stressing out. I had her try on her winter coat from last year, which still looks cute. She would scream so loud any time I tried to take it off. She was afraid she would get left behind. I have been to Utah so much this summer it is almost like I live in Utah and vacation in Houston. ha ha...I am really excited to see everyone!

Did anyone else see this?

You should check this out it is only ten seconds long. Caleb and I were watching the rebublican convention last night. When we saw this we laughed so hard we missed the next few lines of Sarah Palin's speach. Her little girl Piper is so cute. Plus I love that name. Hope you enjoy
